I would highly recommend First-Rate to anyone for moving. When reaching out for quotes First-Rate was the first to respond and ended up being the best quote I received. Day of the move, the movers arrived on time and were very professional and did a great job in the time frame that was planned. They were very careful with our furniture and were very respectful all around. If ever needed again I will be calling First-Rate.

Jay and his crew were GREAT! I shopped around and dealt with many movers. Jay was the easy choice. We were on a tight budget, and Jay came to the house twice to do a thorough walk-through to help us decide what was worth taking and what should be left or sold. They moved us 2,300 miles, and we didn't have any issues. They showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job packing and unpacking everything. I would recommend Jay & First Rate Movers for any move.

Price wasn't outrageous. I was having trouble with a different moving company constantly bailing. These guys took my call and came the next day and was done in 3 hours.

We hired them to move our 5 bedroom home. From the first interaction on the phone I was impressed. They were happy to answer any question and returned calls promptly. Their estimate was very detailed so there was no question what was included. The crew arrived and were very professional and efficient. We were asked to pay the bill and when later I discovered that the amount was not what was quoted Jay immediately rectified the situation. I highly recommend this company and their price was very fair.

We had such a great experience from start to finish! Dave and Jay were quick to respond in the weeks leading up to the move, answering all my questions and concerns. The price was fair, and the lowest price we could find! Every other company was giving us quotes that were double, or triple...and didn't accurately reflect what items we needed moved. The team of movers with First-Rate showed up on time TO THE MINUTE, and were smiling, professional, and cared for our items! They even took extra time to wrap furniture so it wouldn't be damaged. Unexpected! They arrived at our new home quickly, unpacked everything within an hour. Over all amazing service...will be recommending to everyone! 10/10!

The crew showed up on time and could not have been more professional or polite. It was in the 90’s so it was hot and humid. They worked as a great team and the next day when they came to finish packing and load it was the same. I had used this company for a small move of a few thing for my sister to MO. She had the same experience with good communication on arrival and also as professional and courteous. I would use them again and recommend them highly. Customer service at its highest level!

Absolutely exceptional experience with First-Rate Moving! They moved our furniture from our old home, into their storage unit and then into our new home for us. The team was courteous, professional and extremely careful packing/unpacking and moving our furniture and belongings.Booking was very straight forward and they were prompt in getting me estimates, answering questions, etc.Hands down the best moving company I have worked with and the only one I will and recommend moving forward! My experience with First-Rate Moving was wonderful, from my first meeting with Jay to assess my house and all its contents, to the numerous calls to answer my questions, to the crews that both emptied my house and then moved me into my new home. Jay was extremely helpful scheduling a last minute job to offload 1,800 lbs of hardwood from a tractor trailer into our house. The First-Rate crew showed up right on schedule just before the trucking company arrived. The movers were professional, courteous, and careful getting the long bundles of wood into our home. Thank you for a job well done! We'll definitely contact Jay and First-Rate Moving for our next move.

First Rate did a great job moving my 2-bedroom apartment! Pricing was at a good rate, comparable and a bit better than som competitor quotes and no surprises. Daniel was great taking my inventory and explaining the elements of the quote and answered my follow up questions. The guys were SO fantastic, quick and efficient, everything was in perfect condition. I appreciated their help so very much.

This was my second move with First Rate and it was another great job. Christian, Eddie, and Edwin were very friendly, arrived on time and got right to work. They were professional, friendly, and ahead of schedule all the way to the end of the move. Everything was moved with care even taking extra time to fix the bed back that we had broken before the move. We were completely satisfied with First Rate being the most competitive price we got. Highly recommend!

Jason manages an amazing company! He is personable and efficient and our move from Massachusetts to Utah went seamlessly. He was easy to contact by cell and by messaging and he responded quickly with answers and clarification. We had many fragile pieces, artwork and a piano and everything arrived in perfect condition. He kept in touch during the drive so we knew exactly when he would arrive. I highly recommend his company, First Rate Moving and Storage.

I would like to give Jay and his team the most rave review ever. They were efficient, communicated beautifully, packed up in three locations for us, wrapped everything carefully so it wouldn’t be damaged and could not have been nicer. The team of Junior, Edwin, Dickson, Jimmy, Eddie, Gregory and Jay were AMAZING!! I cannot thank them enough. And lastly, their pricing was very competitive. I could not recommend them more highly.

Jay and his team did an amazing job packing up our apartment and moving it all to a home! They arrived on time, were efficient, and so careful of all our belongings. They then placed everything where we wanted it in our home and made sure to not make the freshly cleaned house dirty. Loved working with the team! First-Rate Moving lives up to their name! We could not have been more pleased with Jay and his hard-working team. It was pouring outside on the day of our house move, and the team wrapped up all of our furniture so well that nothing got wet or dirty. They took great care in covering our floors so the rain water would not damage them. The team was polite, professional, and efficient. We highly recommend this elite small business.

First-Rate Moving was recommended to me by a good friend and they did not disappoint. I did get a few quotes for comparison but First-Rate was very competitive and their communication was even better. Jay was great to work with and the entire crew busted their humps and we’re friendly the whole time. Mine was not an easy move! A 4 bedroom colonial with a finished basement and a wood shop. They carefully wrapped every piece of furniture and got the job done in a day and a half! Thank you Jay, and kudos to your crew.I highly recommend First-Rate Moving.

Jason and team were able to fit me in for a same day move of a gun safe. They were right on time, did everything exactly as I requested (I’m an engineer) and got my safe moved in safely. This is the second time I’ve used First-Rate and very happy with their service.

Through several phone calls we organized my items to be moved. They were available as quick as I needed.The guys showed up early, introduce themselves, polite and courteous group. The move went smoothly, quickly and without issue. The estimate quoted was the final price, no hidden fees. I would definitely use them again.

!TOP NOTCH! My family and I have moved a few times over the years and First-Rate truly is "First Rate"!! I know that sounds a little cliche but there is no other way to put it. Moving is stressful enough so when you find a great company to work with it eases some of the pain. Daniel in the office was great setting up the appt. to have the estimator Jason come out to our home to look over everything. Jason was very friendly, responsive and thorough with all of the details of the move and was even in on the action the day we moved. The communication throughout the move was great and supplies were dropped off when we needed them. The day of the move, (it was a 2 day move) they never stopped. Every single one of these guys were hard workers. You don't see that anymore so needless to say I was very impressed with this, and all were so polite and accommodating. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Where do I start, I needed a hot tub moved from house to another. Everyone else wanted an obscene amount of money to do it. I called this place and they had an amazing price! So I signed up! I spoke with Daniel! From start to finish this was by far the best most easiest, nicest experience I have ever had! They made every so easy! I will forever recommend this company! Every single person I felt with was so kind, courteous and professional! Even the gentleman that showed up were super kind! Thank you so much for helping me!! I greatly appreciate all the work you did for me and how easy you made everything and how comfortable I felt with my decision with choosing you! Provided last minute availability for my Mom’s move and moved everything where she asked. It was a three legged trip so she could clear out her storage bin, pick up her belongings at my house and take all to her new home. That helped us out tremendously! Yes, I would recommend.

Can’t say enough good things about this company. I worked with Daniel from the start who provided a quote over the phone for a move from a house that even included a stop at a storage unit. Jimmy and Abdiel arrived and made the process so smooth and stress free. They were both personable and professional. We were amazed at how quick the two of them were yet they still took the time to pad the doors, wrap the furniture properly, disassemble the tv stands and reassemble, etc. Since this was our first time using movers we were not sure what to expect, but we have already recommended first rate several times in just the 48 hours since we have used them!

Abdiel, Antonio and Jimmy were superb! From disassembling and reassembling my sofa bed to moving things around for my mom, they could not have been better. They scrambled to ensure everything was safe from an unexpected torrential downpour and worked a very long day, tirelessly and with grace and great care. I would highly recommend First Rate.

First Rate is Top Notch!!From initial quote, to removing belongings, storing for a bit and then bringing to our new house was a very positive experience.The care they took when wrapping our furniture was evident because it arrived in great condition. Zero scratches or breakage and the care that was taken when bringing into our new house with new floors was amazing. Nice job and THANKS.

We were moving into our first home! There were a million things on our mind and a million others lining up. In the midst of all the hassle, we hired these guys for moving.And it was the best decision we made!Daniel and Jay were quick to respond, easy to reach and always available for any questions. And the moving team, Abdiel, Antonio and Edwin.. were the rockstars! They were quick, efficient and professional. They packed everything with careful detail, carried everything with care, disassembled & assembled with expertise, and completed the move with incredible care and velocity.So, if you are a new home owner, do yourself a favor.. take one decision off your plate and hire First-Rate Moving and Storage!

Excellent moving company. The crew are professional, very helpful and polite. The owner was willing to take the effort to come for an on-site estimate, and therefore was able to gave us an accurate and very reasonable price.First-rate Moving gave a fixed price/ contract, not a floating price like the moving company we hired in the past who ended up changing us double than the estimate.We will recommend First-Rate Moving to our friends.

From the first call to the owner Jay to when the men showed up til the last piece of furniture was put in place the process was seemless. Moved my Dad from his home to his new place it could not have gone better! The 3 men Abdiel Jimmy and Antonio were outstanding and professional. I never used a mover before but Jay and his company were great! They stayed in touch throughout the move and were even ready to make any changes along the way as needed. The guys (Abdiel, Gregorih & Eddy) did a great job loading and unloading a gazillion boxes on one of the hottest and muggiest days this summer… and without complaint. I can’t recommend them enough! 😁

Gregorio, Eddy & Abdiel came to move a hot tub from the driveway to the back deck. It was heavy and awkward but these 3 guys made it look easy. They were courteous, professional and did the job quickly. I would do business with this company again and highly recommend them
