Great experience with First-Rate Moving & Storage. Picked up our furniture Day 1 and delivered Day 2. Crew was professional and courteous. A special hats-off to Wendy, who should be deemed Tetris King. Superlative packing and no damages. Very polite group and complete gentlemen. I don't want to move again for a long long LOOOOONG time, but I would call Jay at First-Rate Moving again in a heartbeat.

No worries. That's what I would say to anyone if they are looking for a mover and want to be sure that all bases will be covered without worry. The owner, Daniel, communicates with his customers in a way that says they are valued. The movers were extremely efficient and very courteous. They send appropriate reminders and they make payment and contractual steps technologically painless. Great job done with NO WORRIES!

I used Jason and his crew of three to move my belongings out of a two-story house. Jason arrived the day before the move and walked through the house with me to take note of what was being moved. He and his crew returned the next day, and carefully and efficiently loaded everything onto their truck. Moving can be a tense experience, but Jason and his crew were entirely professional, as well as courteous and thoughtful, so I felt completely comfortable with the move. I do not look forward to moving again, but if I do, I will ask Jason to do the job.

First Rate was, well, First Rate! The estimate was clear and competitive. The communication was excellent both prior to and day of the move. They provided three movers who made it look easy. They wrapped and covered furniture and were so careful of walls and floors. I couldn’t ask for a better move day. Highly recommended.

Just had the team pack and move our home. Firstly our interaction with Avi was great. He always answered questions and concerns promptly. He predelivered packing materials to us. The actual moving day went very well. Everyone was professional and friendly. Our belongings were packed carefully. We will be using a long term storage and feel confident that our belongings will be safe and secure. Could not recommend them any higher!!

We completed our move in two stages. First we moved a significant amount out of our house and had it stored by First Rate Moving and Storage for staging our existing house. We followed that up with the rest of our home when we actually moved. Everything was in pristine condition and there wasn’t a single scratch in either home or on any item. The crew was extremely polite and professional. We would give them ten stars if we could and will never move with anyone else!

First impressions are important and when the owner of the company comes to your home to review your move details, that gives you a good feeling. Jay was patient, took a lot of pictures in order to put together his estimate, took his time explaining the process and what our rights were, and showed understanding and caring for our needs and timeline. We interviewed seven different moving companies, only three of which actually sent a representative to our home. Jay was the only owner who came. In terms of cost, the final cost was what Jay said it would be, no add-ons at the end. His estimate was neither the most expensive nor the cheapest of all the estimates. We had to change our departure date from Massachusetts and delivery date to Florida about three weeks before it was to happen and Jay was able to accommodate us gracefully. We cannot pay enough compliments to his team when they came to pack, load and deliver our stuff. They showed up on time on loading day and delivery day. Jimmy, Greg and Junior worked together as a fantastic team, carefully disassembling and wrapping the furniture, handling everything with care, and loading it efficiently. Dicson arrived in Florida on time, and with the local team of Andrew and Will, had the truck unloaded and everything placed and furniture reassembled in three hours. Nothing was broken, damaged or missing. We highly recommend Jay and his First-Rate Moving & Storage team if you want a caring and attentive company to handle your move.

This moving company is incredible. They showed up early, singing. They worked non-stop on our 3 bedroom home and took care of my belongings like they owned them. Wendy, Edward, Edwin, and Dicson were the best. They were courteous, hard working, and had positive energy the whole process. My 81" television 1" thick was my biggest worry and they didn't disappoint. All this for the lowest estimate in New Hampshire. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Trust them when they say they are the best.

I would highly recommend First-Rate to anyone for moving. When reaching out for quotes First-Rate was the first to respond and ended up being the best quote I received. Day of the move, the movers arrived on time and were very professional and did a great job in the time frame that was planned. Jay and his crew were GREAT! I shopped around and dealt with many movers. Jay was the easy choice. We were on a tight budget, and Jay came to the house twice to do a thorough walk-through to help us decide what was worth taking and what should be left or sold. They moved us 2,300 miles, and we didn't have any issues. They showed up when they said they would and did an excellent job packing and unpacking everything. I would recommend Jay & First Rate Movers for any move.

We hired them to move our 5 bedroom home. From the first interaction on the phone I was impressed. They were happy to answer any question and returned calls promptly. Their estimate was very detailed so there was no question what was included. The crew arrived and were very professional and efficient. We were asked to pay the bill and when later I discovered that the amount was not what was quoted Jay immediately rectified the situation. I highly recommend this company and their price was very fair.

We had such a great experience from start to finish! Dave and Jay were quick to respond in the weeks leading up to the move, answering all my questions and concerns. The price was fair, and the lowest price we could find! Every other company was giving us quotes that were double, or triple...and didn't accurately reflect what items we needed moved. The team of movers with First-Rate showed up on time TO THE MINUTE, and were smiling, professional, and cared for our items! They even took extra time to wrap furniture so it wouldn't be damaged. Unexpected! They arrived at our new home quickly, unpacked everything within an hour. Over all amazing service...will be recommending to everyone! 10/10!

The crew showed up on time and could not have been more professional or polite. It was in the 90’s so it was hot and humid. They worked as a great team and the next day when they came to finish packing and load it was the same. I had used this company for a small move of a few thing for my sister to MO. She had the same experience with good communication on arrival and also as professional and courteous. I would use them again and recommend them highly. Customer service at its highest level!

Jay was extremely helpful scheduling a last minute job to offload 1,800 lbs of hardwood from a tractor trailer into our house. The First-Rate crew showed up right on schedule just before the trucking company arrived. The movers were professional, courteous, and careful getting the long bundles of wood into our home. First Rate did a great job moving my 2-bedroom apartment! Pricing was at a good rate, comparable and a bit better than som competitor quotes and no surprises. Daniel was great taking my inventory and explaining the elements of the quote and answered my follow up questions. This was my second move with First Rate and it was another great job. Christian, Eddie, and Edwin were very friendly, arrived on time and got right to work. They were professional, friendly, and ahead of schedule all the way to the end of the move. Everything was moved with care even taking extra time to fix the bed back that we had broken before the move. We were completely satisfied with First Rate being the most competitive price we got. Jason manages an amazing company! He is personable and efficient and our move from Massachusetts to Utah went seamlessly. He was easy to contact by cell and by messaging and he responded quickly with answers and clarification. We had many fragile pieces, artwork and a piano and everything arrived in perfect condition. He kept in touch during the drive so we knew exactly when he would arrive. I highly recommend his company, First Rate Moving and Storage.

I did get a few quotes for comparison but First-Rate was very competitive and their communication was even better. Jay was great to work with and the entire crew busted their humps and we’re friendly the whole time. Mine was not an easy move! A 4 bedroom colonial with a finished basement and a wood shop. Jason and team were able to fit me in for a same day move of a gun safe. They were right on time, did everything exactly as I requested (I’m an engineer) and got my safe moved in safely. This is the second time I’ve used First-Rate and very happy with their service.
