We had an absolutely fantastic experience with First- Rate Moving for our move from Connecticut all the way to California. Moving an entire family across the country felt like it could have been incredibly stressful, but from the very beginning, they made the entire process feel seamless.
From the initial intake and getting our quote, to signing the contract and communicating all of the details leading up to moving day, everything was organized, straightforward and professional. They were incredibly responsive and made sure we always knew what to expect.
On pickup day, Jay and the team arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They carefully disassembled all of our furniture, wrapped everything extremely well, and took extra care with our TVs and other items that needed additional protection. They were incredibly efficient and had our entire house packed up and loaded in about four hours, which honestly amazed us.
We also had them transport our car, and that process was just as easy and well-coordinated. Our belongings arrived in California only five days later, and everything arrived safely and intact. Having everything show up on the other side of the country exactly as it left was such a huge relief.
The teams on both ends were awesome. Everyone we worked with was friendly, hardworking, professional and genuinely pleasant to work with. Somehow, they managed to make something as stressful as a cross-country move feel…almost fun! Who knew moving could actually be fun?!
On top of the incredible service, the price was extremely reasonable, especially for a cross-country move and car transportation. We truly felt like we received an exceptional value from start to finish.
